Easily broken - but not so easily repaired! A dear little Chinese dish - one of a set of four, needed the expertise that Ruth can bring to the conservation of our treasured little objects. Despite the fact it was in two pieces, with a lot of fracture chips , this dish came back to me whole again, in wonderful condition, just like the other three. This is the second thing Ruth has repaired for me - I am always amazed by her skills. Quiet, quality repairs - and no drama!

- P. Lowe: This is my 1840s meat dish which survived intact for about 170 years until I moved house and this happened. (Note for self- next time you wrap an antique in a duvet for safe transport remember it's in there when you get to your destination!!)

The cheese dish is absolutely wonderful, you have made a marvellous job of restoring it and I'm absolutely delighted.I never expected you to be able to restore such extensive damage. It's of great sentimental value, belonging to my great grandmother, and I remember it sitting on my Grandmother's table with a quarter of cheese in it. I am thrilled to bits with the result.
